Haikus for a Red Wasp

There is a red wasp

Hovering incessantly

Outside the window.

Remember sneaking

Back behind that half made house,

With the old hammock?

Do you remember how

That wasp landed on your nose

And you stayed so still?

Remember my hand

Below your belly button

My lips in your ear?

You are the insect

With a fat red stinger

And wings to take flight.

You are the Sun out

Splashed across the oakwood deck,

And the red maples,

The little petals

Tossing in the noon time breeze

And you are this wasp,

Burning shades of red and black

Flying in my zone.
